Age verification with MitID

Understand the new rules regarding online alcohol sales

From October 1st 2024, companies are required to have an IT system for age verification when selling alcohol online. It is required that the system is able to verify whether the customer is over the age limit before the sale is made.

How does age verification work in NemTakeAway?

We have implemented age checks in NemTakeAway, so you can be sure to comply with legal requirements if you want to sell alcohol from your ordering page.

If you have products listed as alcohol, the system will require the customer to verify their age with MitID. In NemTakeAway, there is an option for age verification with MitID via Criipto, which is a secure and GDPR-free solution for MitID verification

In the ordering flow, the age check takes place before payment of the order and costs a fixed price per verification.

NemTakeAway does not support age verification for selling nicotine.
